I hope everyone had a wonderful, snowy weekend!
-Thank you to everyone to everyone who has emailed/passed in pictures for our "math is everywhere" contest. I'm seeing some very creative pictures! Our class camera is also available to students who would like to take it home for the night. The Born Numeracy video is available to watch here:
- We are coming close to finishing up Unit 3 in math on decimals and percent. Provided we have a full week of school, we should be done at the end of this week. Assessment for this unit will be done through a short quiz as well as a small in school assignment.
- Just a reminder that it's a good idea to bring snow pants to school everyday so that you can enjoy the snow at recess without getting your pants wet! Please make sure you're also bringing hats and mitts to wear outside- it's chilly out there! :)
- I've ordered materials for students who are interested in participating in the Engineers P.E.I. bridge building contest. This is an optional project for students to work on at home. Further information and contest rules are available here... http://www.engineerspei.com/ntlengweek/bridgecontest.asp
Have a great week, everyone!
